The Summer 2025 Season of GPO Golf League is upon us!
We will get things kicked off with our Handicapping round on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the Scenic Hills putting green with announcements around 4:45pm and a shotgun start at 5:00pm.
Please read the rules on the GPO Summer League Rules page using the League Rules link on top page menu. There are some additions and changes that might be of interest.
We will start the regular season on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 and close it out on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, barring the need to make up for missed rounds due to weather or other issues. Since we have increased our membership to an all-time high of 24 teams, this season we will be changing the playoff rules to allow the top 12 teams into the playoffs. Details will be in the rules.
We are carrying our Tee Busters for charity and Hole in 1 pot over from the Fall 2024 league. You can contribute to our charitable donations by purchasing Tee Busters or, if you are so inclined, by making donations. Our charity remains the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research. The Hole in 1 pot is up to over $300!
We will also continue the Closest to the Pin contest this season, but this year will be a little different. Charles Petrice has been handling the job of getting everyone signed up, collecting the entry fees, and giving out the winnings for years. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all he has done to help over those years. But this year, Charles is stepping down as the CTP Master of Ceremonies and we are welcoming Keith Merritt into the vacated position. Keith comes with no experience and little aptitude but I am sure you will all help him to grow in the role and welcome him in your own way. Thanks for stepping up, Keith.
