Elvis has left Week 5!
We had a major event this week. Billie Trawick shot a 31, which is the lowest natural score in League history! He was a 1 handicap at the time which means he basically shot 5 strokes below his handicap. And, to reward his goodness, now he is a 0 handicap. But the Billie Train doesn’t just stop there…oh no. Billie also vaulted to the top of the Birdie Eagle Contest with 4 birdies on the round! To put the cherry on the Billie Cupcake, he also won $85 for CTP. Nice Tuesday, Bille! Congratulations!
Not to be outdone, Mark Ringl put together a tidy 37 on his round with 2 birdies. This means, because he was a 7 handicap, he also shot 5 under his handicap. Win golf games, get golf prizes, Mark, you are now a 6 handicap. Good to see one of our more seasoned golfers exceed their potential! LOL! Congratulations, Mark!
In other great golf news, Steve Auge, 12 handicap, shot a 40. This is 7 strokes below his handicap. Congratulations, Steve! And, Chris Phillipi, 10 handicap, also shot a 40 which is 5 strokes below his handicap. Congratulations Chris! Both of them dropped a handicap stroke this week.
If you had to compete against any of these guys, sorry about that.
I haven’t had a chance to figure out who has shot the lowest handicapped round. That will take more than just a MIN function on a spreadsheet. Give me some time and I will dig that up, though.
As a reminder, there will be no league on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Everyone gets a BYE week in 1 week!
