GPO Golf League Fall 2024 – Final Announcements:
Another season comes to a close. Thank you to everyone who participated. This was a pretty eventful season as we added some new wrinkles. First we started our Hole In One pot and have a final pot of $304. This pot will roll over to the Summer 2025 league. Also, we implemented the Tee Buster/Charity Donations and raised $1000.00 for the Rally Foundation – Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation Thank you to all who donated by either participating in the Tee Buster during the season, or donating directly for the charity. I’d like to single out the following contributors for going the extra distance:
- Jeff Hijuelos
- Chris Phillipi
- Aaron Cook
- Brian Rounsavall
- David Taylor
- Jake Oneall
Also, we had another season of Closest to the Pin competitions. Congratulations to the winners and a very heartfelt thank you to Charles Petrice for administering the competition for yet another season.

It will be five months into the future when we tee it up again in the GPO Golf League Summer 2024. There will be a few changes with what we have started in the Fall:
- Tentative: Tee Buster will increase to $2 per week but the Hole in One will decrease to $1
- We will encourage members to pay for the Tee Busters for the season at the beginning of the season. There will likely be some discount for paying for them all at once.
- Tee Busters will not be available in the playoffs.
- There will likely be some new rules around the use of Tee Busters in combination with provisionals and possibly other rules, such as recording what hole your opponent uses a tee buster.
We will continue to try to make our league better without changing what makes it fun and fulfilling to our membership. If you have any ideas along these lines, I am always open for that collaboration. This is our league, not just mine and I am so honored to be your commissioner. Have a Happy Halloween, a Joyous Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We will be together on the course before you know it (tentatively April 1, 2025.)
